A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all in The Hamiton School to celebrate the achievement of the 2010-2011 candidates who have undertaken Children’s Care Learning and Development II, III and IV and Playwork II and II Awards.

Kathlyn Taylor of The Children’s House gave the opening address and the guest speakers on the evening were Barbara Dale, the external verifier for the new SQA PDA Childhood Practice at SCQF level 9 qualification and John Robertson, the Business Manager for City & Guilds in Scotland. The emotive closing speech was given by Gillian Donald who heads up Stronachs’ Employment Law Unit and is the dedicated mother of a son who attends The Hamilton School. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Mr Terry Taylor.

The evening concluded with a champagne reception in which the successful candidates were joined by friends and family to celebrate their success.

Modern Apprenticeship Recruitment

The second of a series of events was held on the 8th August 2011 at The Hamilton School in Queen's Road Aberdeen. The evening was a great success and gave prospective Modern Apprentices  the opportunity to embark on a career in Child care Practice.

As a result of  our successful conference on the 21st May 2011 The Children's House team were invited by  Dr. Suzanne Zeedyk to attend the launch of her new website and the premiere of  her film
