The Hamilton School Conference Saturday 21st May 2011
Once again The Hamilton School in Aberdeen is leading the way in ensuring that there staff are given the best opportunities in the area to update their knowledge of the childcare sector. Over 70 staff attended a 1 day conference on Saturday the 21st May 2011 which was led by the world renowned speaker, Dr.Suzanne Zeedyk an Honorary Senior Lecturer, in the School of Psychology at the University of Dundee with a focus on early brain development. Dr Suzanne Zeedyk, renowned for her work within the new Pre-birth to Three Framework held the staff enthralled as, she delivered her presentation followed by workshops to consolidate the learning. The afternoon session was led by Maighread Townsend a Criminal Intelligence Analyst from the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit, who gave a thought provoking presentation on the importance of early intervention. This was followed by an intensive question and answer session which involved both speakers and was enjoyed immensly by all.
