Qualifications

delivers a variety of Vocational Qualifications to the Childcare Sector, each of which is recognised for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council. Qualifications are grouped into three categories Children's Care Learning and Development, Playwork and Training and Development Awards.

Children's Care Learning and Development

CCLD II, III and IV are suited to these working in Daycare, Playgroup, Childminding or Clubs.

Children's Care Learning and Development II is for those working in a support role as the starting point in a career path.

CCLD III is for those working as practitioners. This will enable you to register as a practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

CCLD IV is suited to these who manage and lead childcare settings. It is also suited to those who are experts in their field. With specific units this will enable registration as a manager/lead practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Playwork

Playwork Levels II and III are suitable for those working in breakfast, after school or holiday clubs.

Playwork Level II is for those working in a support role which may be the starting point in a career path.

Level III is for those supervising the setting and they may also be assisting with management. This will enable you to register as a practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Funding for these qualifications comes from a range of sources. There are Government funding schemes, Childcare Partnership initiatives, employer funded or self funding packages available. Call to discuss what is right for you.

Training and Development Awards

Training and Developmental Awards are suited to those who are mature practitioners who support, maintain or train others in the field.

Continuing Professional Development

delivers a range of training opportunities which are advertised through the Aberdeen City Childcare Partnership training programme. We are happy to develop bespoke packages for organisations who wish to develop their staff in specific areas.
